TORONTO, ON, June 19, 2008 -- Darcor Casters today announced the relaunch of www.darcor.com, its newly redesigned and reconstructed website incorporating a wide variety of tools that make it quicker and easier for users to search background and product information, to find the best caster for any application, and to interact with the company.
Visitors to the site are provided with direct or linked access to a virtual encyclopedia of knowledge and graphic materials on casters and their applications across a wide variety of industries. In addition, the website features a caster selector tool that makes it easy to choose the right caster for the job. The tool is focused on solving a current challenge (such as overexertion injuries or noise) and then making a selection based on criteria including industry type and application. If a custom design is required, the site provides a human interface through an immediate link to Darcor’s engineering department. Key products also feature detailed mounting configurations and downloadable 3-D CAD models.
The site also offers online sign-up for Darcor’s informative series of webinars which have attracted significant interest from around the world.
“Our objective was to make our site both deeper and easier to use than any in the industry,” says Kirk Tobias, chief marketing officer, Darcor Casters, and response from customers who have been using the beta site over the past several weeks, suggests that we have succeeded.”
“The site is a further extension of our unsurpassed commitment to the best in customer service. It will never replace the personal touch completely, but it does offer the quickest and most efficient solution for more than 95 percent of enquiries. We are proud of what has been accomplished,” Tobias added.
The Darcor product range offers a wide breadth of choice in wheel sizes and materials, bearings, and design features to deliver load capacity of 15,000 lbs or more per caster, the lowest possible rolling forces and towline chatter, and the ultimate in protection against overexertion injuries. Darcor’s proprietary wheels are a particularly important factor in tailoring casters to function flawlessly in tough on-the-floor operating conditions including extensive debris, abrasive oil and chemicals, and extreme heat and cold.
