Leading Caster Company Darcor Announces Major Appointments

Toronto, January 30, 2002 - Darcor Ltd., North America's leader in the design and manufacture of ergonomic, high-performance casters and wheels, announces two important appointments at the company's head office.

Effective immediately, Rob E. Hilborn moves to the position of president of the company from the position of marketing manager. As president, he will be responsible for the operations of the company and for establishing its direction and strategy.

"These are exciting times for our industry, and during the next few years we plan to introduce several innovative technologies to emphasize our role as the leading source of quality casters for industrial, institutional and office users," Hilborn says.

Darcor has more than 70 years' experience designing, manufacturing and selling high performance casters. During that time it has learned that every workplace is different, calling for innovative solutions to match each user's needs.

"Our partnership approach to solving our customers' problems is our core strength, and we will continue to develop leading-edge casters and wheels for the most demanding applications," Hilborn says.

Hilborn says that today's primary force behind caster design and development is the increasing concern for ergonomics and safety. Darcor's products blend ergonomic principles with advanced materials, resulting in the lowest possible rolling resistance and superior design, subjected to the most rigorous testing anywhere before product is released.

"We aim to deliver the best caster solution with the highest value through flawless function, supreme durability and expert service," Hilborn says. "Every Darcor caster is designed for effective, safe performance by being smooth rolling, quiet, durable and long-lasting."

Darcor, whose ergonomic logo symbolizes work-efficient, worker-friendly casters, addresses the subject of ergonomics in the 30-page white paper, Ergonomics of Manual Material Handling. It can be downloaded from www.darcor.com or obtained by phone, fax or email request.
