SHOCK LOAD
The maximum load a caster can withstand under shock conditions.

SOLID ELASTOMER
A breakthrough advance in wheel technology, exclusive to Darcor. Solid elastomer wheels are renowned for low rolling resistance, imperviousness to harsh chemical and perfect shape retention even after long-term exposure to temperature and load extremes.

STATIC LOAD
The maximum load on a caster when movement or shock are not present.

SWIVEL CASTER
A basic caster unit with the addition of a bearing that allows the caster to swivel about a vertical axis.

SWIVEL RACEWAY
The part of the swivel that contains the bearings.

SWIVEL RADIUS
The radius required for a caster to swivel freely. Determined by measuring from the center of the King Bolt to the outside of the wheel.

SWIVEL FORCE
The amount of force required to swivel a caster from a 90-degree angle to the direction in which it is being moved. With all other factors equal, the greatest force is required to initiate movement of a load from a 90-degree angle.

STARTING FORCE
The maximum amount of force required to move a load.
